The Fender Player Series Jaguar bass guitar is the perfect model for bassists who're looking for a stylish and sophisticated tonal palette to play with. The timeless design has been equipped with modern appointments to make this Jag better than ever before. The Jaguar has been the model of choice for some of the finest musicians in history including: Kurt Cobain, John Frusciante, Johnny Marr, and Kevin Shields - so you can rest assured that you will be following in the footsteps of some truly awesome players.
The Jaguar body shape remains unchanged, with a cool offset waist design that makes the body very comfortable to hold. Whether you're playing in a seated position, or stood up, the Jag is perfectly balanced. Fender has designed the body to be simple yet effective. The offset waist design allows the body to sit just right every time, whether you play stood up or in a seated position. The smoothly contoured shape allows the body to rest snugly as you play, offering the most comfortable and controlled feel one could hope for. The tonewood used in the body is alder, which is exquisitely balanced with regard to tonality - not to mention light in weight and very easy to wield for long periods of time.
Fitted to the body is a responsive maple neck, shaped to the smooth modern "C" shape profile, which is perfect for executing your playing technique deftly. Married to the neck is a sumptuous Maple fingerboard, which is shaped to a 9.5-inch radius to accommodate fast-playing styles. The smooth satin urethane neck finish gives it a resistance-free playing feel, allowing you to glide along with ease. The headstock is home to standard open-gear tuning machines that work tirelessly to maintain tuning integrity throughout each and every performance.
The Jaguar has been fitted with a pair of Player Series Alnico 5 Single-Coil Jazz Bass pickups for plenty of growl. The combination offered affords you an incredibly versatile tonal palette to paint with. Control comes in the form of volume controls for each pickup, and a single master tone control. Shaping your tone couldn't be easier and navigating through the expansive tonal universe at your fingertips couldn't be more enjoyable.
Fitted to the body is a 4-saddle standard vintage-style bridge with single-groove saddles, which works meticulously to uphold string intonation thanks to the seamless connection between the strings and body. Thanks to the resilient layer of protective gloss polyester, the sophisticated black finish will remain in pristine condition for as long as is possible.
If you're looking for a superior electric bass that is perfect for studio recording and is rugged enough to cope with life on the road, then the Fender Player Series Jaguar Bass guitar is perfect. Combining an unfussy setup with sublime tonality, at a price that everyone can take advantage of, is something that Fender is known for, but even this time they've outdone themselves.

Being a Mexican made bass, it's obviously not as good as an American made yet I feel it's an improvement on the Standard.
P pickups are beautiful, as is the J pickups. The neck feels better than the standard Jag too.
