If you asked a member of the public to draw an electric guitar the chances are they would try to hash out what they remember of the classic strat body. That's how ingrained the strat body design is in the subconscious of all of us. The Strat had to wait for its day in the sun but once that day came it dominated for six decades and is now the byword for that two offset horned carved top body shape. From Hank Marvin and Jimi Hendrix to Nile Rodgers and Steve Vai have all played or still play this most versatile of instruments. The neck pickup has the most distinctive guitar sound in rock and roll
The Alder it gets the better it is
The lightweight Alder body is the perfect counterweight to the Player Strats high output Fender Player Alnico 5 pickups. Providing excellent sustain and a breezy resonance the Player Strat is one of the most versatile sounding guitars around. The distinct bright highs of the Alder tonewood will mellow with age providing that timeless Fender sound. There is a five-way pickup selector to choose a variety of pickup combinations making the strat one of the most versatile instruments around.
Maple and Pau
The neck is made of maple and the fingerboard is made of Pau Ferro and there is a Satin Urethane Finish on Back, Gloss Urethane Finish on Front. The Modern "C" profile neck is immensely playable, has a smooth silky feel and looks amazing. The medium Jumbo frets make it a more universally inclusive instrument good for both less experienced and advanced guitarists. The overall playability of the neck is unmatched and one of the most recognisable features of the Stratocaster.
Alnico 5 power
The Player Strat comes loaded with 3 Alnico 5 pickups, 2 Humbuckera in the bridge and neck and 1 single-coil in the middle. These are some of the hottest tone producing pickups Fender makes and gives your sound an edge most guitars can't compete with.
The Fender Player Stratocaster is a workhorse and a show pony combined into one. Capable of the rough and tumble of the working musician's life to the repeated learning of a beginner. In the right hands, the Player Stratocaster can set fire to the soul and unleash those death-defying solos we've heard throughout the decades. Fitted with chrome tuners the Player will give stable and accurate tuning while the chrome hardware will complement the glorious finish. The Fender Player is a step above the rest and will inspire for a lifetime, an investment in your musical future.
