Building on the strengths of the Fender Redondo Player, the classic edition comes complete with exclusive finishes, an upgraded fretboard, extra binding and a premium pickup system. The Fender Redondo Classic is a guitar to be proud of and Fender have included a bag so that you can keep it safe whilst on the road.
A tight cutaway body provides excellent projection with easy access to the upper frets. With a solid sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides the Fender Redondo Electro Acoustic also has a laid back, mellow tone with enough bite to be heard over the crackling of the campfire. The body's multiple binding offsets the woods nicely and continues along the neck.
The neck on the Fender Redondo Electro Acoustic has been constructed from mahogany with a dual-action truss rod in place for strength and support. With a SlimTaper “C” profile the guitar is really comfortable to play, even for those used to an electric. This is topped by Pau Ferro fingerboard with 20-frets and white dot inlays.
The guitar features Fenders vintage-style Pau Ferro “Viking” bridge with a compensated-saddle for improved volume and clarity, as well as visual appeal. Also keeping the Fender Redondo electro-acoustic guitar looking good is a Koa rosette encircling the soundhole, Koa binding, a matching gold 3-ply pickguard, classic Strat headstock and chrome hardware.
Premium grade pickup
To make the Redondo Classic shine, Fender have included a premium Fishman pickup system that was specifically voiced to match the Redondo's body shape. This gives you the best possible amplification making the Redondo Classic a great instrument to have on stage.
