Taking a massive leap in the evolution of portable bass amplifiers, the third generation of the popular Rumble Series has been re-engineered to provide amps that are lighter, louder, and more powerful than ever before, whilst encapsulating that classic Fender vibe. The Fender Rumble 500 V3 Bass Guitar Combo Amplifier is a prime example of the series, being the largest, with a massive 500-watts powering thorough a pair of 10” speakers, with Eminence drivers and premium HF compression tweeters.
Lightweight... Hard as nails
With its lightweight construction, the Fender Rumble 500 V3 travels well, despite being the largest and loudest of the series. It is also robust with a black vinyl covering and heavy-duty nickel corners, ensuring the amp will be with you for a very long time. Getting extra points for style, the Fender Rumble 500 V3 Bass Amp has switched out the metal grille of the previous generation with a cloth speaker cover, which has been branded with the classic Fender logo that looks resplendent alongside the amp’s vintage-style, ivory control knobs.
The Fender Rumble 500 V3 benefits from a newly developed, footswitchable overdrive circuit and a three-button voicing palette, to put you in control of a wealth of tonal options. This is, of course, alongside a volume control and 3-band EQ so that you can achieve any style of sound you could possibly want.
The Rumble 500 V3 also caters to your practice needs thanks to the inclusion of the RCA inputs and 1/4" headphone connections. This means you can play along to tracks via the amp, into your headphones without disturbing anyone, ideal for those late-night practice sessions.
For incredible, full-bodied power that doesn't compromise on portability, the Fender Rumble 500 V3 Bass Guitar Combo Amplifier is a superior all-round monster that will impress with every use.

The overdrive sounds nice - organic and not over the top, but if you really want to go overboard you can combine it with a pedal. On that note, the Rumble 500 appears to take pedals well - at least my Zoom B3 sounds great with it.
Overall, it's a great piece of kit. Flexible, powerful and highly portable. I can't see I'll need to be changing it for many years.
