The Strat is one of the most iconic guitars in the world, one of those models that just about any could name whether they are a guitarist or not. It is for this reason that the model is among those that make up the backbone of what Fender offer, and allows for continued development and the chance to own alternative models from the same family such as this, the Fender Standard Stratocaster HSS Plus Top Electric Guitar.
Containing the core elements that have existed in every Strat, but with a few extras that make it stand out, the Fender Standard Stratocaster HSS Plus Top offers up a stunning flame maple top on the usual alder body, coated in a Tobacco Sunburst finish and joined by a three-ply parchment pickguard. The guitar also offers more versatility in the tone department with a Standard Humbucking pickup taking the place of the usual single-coil pickup in bridge position, to give a Humbucker/Single-Coil/Single-Coil pickup configuration, instead of the usual S/S/S.
Classic Strat playability is also on offer with the Fender Standard Stratocaster HSS Plus Top Guitar’s tinted maple neck carved to the modern C-shape profile and the back finished with satin urethane. Topping this is a 9.5" radius, 21-medium jumbo fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays. At the top of the fingerboard is a synthetic bone nut; while at the bottom is a vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge.
