The Fender Jazzmaster has a long and storied history among some of the more alternative faces of the music scene. From Elvis Costello to Jim Root (Slipknot) the lure of the double Single Coils tone has been great. The Jazzmasters unique tone and shape has kept it in popular demand and the Vintera 60s Jazzmaster is a faithful recreation of the sound and look.

Alder than it looks

The 60s Jazzmaster is comprised of an Alder body and Maple neck with a Pau Ferro fingerboard. The Alder body is strong but light and balances the snappy sound of the Single Coils with a thicker resonant tone. The Maple neck, as with most Fenders is authentically "C" profiled and extremely playable. The Pau Ferro fingerboard is tight and hardy and will add to sustain while providing some brash overtones. The Jazzmaster was originally aimed at Jazz players who may be seated and thus is very comfortable to play with its unique body shape.

60s Vintage hardware

The 6-Saddle Vintage-Style Adjustable with “Floating” Tremolo Tailpiece is just one of the features Fender has lovingly re-created in order to bring back the genuine sound and feel of a 60s Jazzmaster. The Vintage style tuners add stability and accuracy to the tuning and hold true to Fenders rough and tumble tradition. The controls are kept simple by using a switch to choose which pick-up the volume and tone knobs affect, this simplicity is what draws players to the Jazzmaster.

Versatile and loud

The two Fender Vintage-Style '60s Single-Coil Jazzmaster pickups are both warm sounding and a little brash giving that versatile sound that drew so many alternative players to the guitar. The Jazz master is a strange and wonderful animal that can perform smooth jazz and modern metal. The Jazzmaster comes with a deluxe gigbag for portable protection. This guitar is ideal for a wide range of players looking for a different look and sound.
