In many ways, there is no more iconic an instrument that defines rock and roll than the Fender Telecaster. Originally the Broadcaster, it was the first commercially viable electric solid body guitar. The collective number of albums sold by just a handful of Telecaster players is mind-blowing. George Harrison, Jimmy Page and Keith Richards with a combined 1.1 billion album sales. People love the sound of a Tele and it's almost 70-year domination is totally founded.
The classic combination of an Alder body and Maple neck have helped shape the Telecaster tone and sound for decades. As well as being attractive to the listener the Tele has been a preferred axe for the player with it's super, silky smooth neck and fingerboard. The Tele has long held a reputation for holding tune through thick and thin with its fender made machine heads and 3 saddle bridge. The 70s custom Tele has the vintage style offset single coil matched with the Fender wide-range humbucker giving the snappy tones we expect from a Tele but with added beef.
The 70s Tele has a volume and tone control for each pickup allowing you to blend sounds from both pickups or choose either the bridge or neck pickup in isolation. This gives the player total control over the tonality of the guitar. The Maple fingerboard is of the highest quality and the thin "C" profile will add a level of playability to an otherwise perfect neck.
Leo Fenders Tele Vision
Born out of the ambition of Leo Fender and Clayton Orr "Doc" Kauffman the Tele is a true icon. Versatile enough to be used throughout extreme genres and yet somehow regarded as a simple, straightforward instrument, the Fender Telecaster is in many ways the chameleon of electric guitars whose tone changes with the player. This is a no brainer, musical investment and will add depth to your sound not many guitars can offer.
