Crisp and rich tones
The body back and sides are crafted using walnut, which gives the HP 635 W precise tone that's full of life and projection. The shallow four-inch body depth ensures that a snappy and responsive punchiness is ever present. This is then delivered with clarity and power by the Sitka spruce top, which is reinforced by scalloped bracing.
Playing comfort like no other
Paired with the body of the HP 635 W is a 2-piece maple neck, which is shaped to the new "Advanced Response" profile to establish greater freedom as you explore the neck. Franklin Titebond 50 hot hide glue has been applied to the neck joint, so you can rest assured that it is ready for anything you can throw at it.
Married to the neck is a 20-fret richlite fingerboard that is decorated with framed single parallelogram with gold and white Mother of Pearl detail. The fingerboard has been given a flatter radius to make string bends even smoother across the entire length of the neck so you are guaranteed absolute comfort throughout your performances.
Upgraded LR Baggs Session VTC system
As only the finest components will do, the Gibson Acoustic 2017 HP 635 W is equipped with the new and improved L.R. Baggs Session VTC pickup system, which delivers a professional-level recording-ready pickup straight out of the case. Making adjustments couldn't be easier thanks to the soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls, enabling you to focus on your performance.
Gig-ready hardware
A black Tusq nut is fitted to ensure the tone remains consistent while keeping the spacing and balance between the strings accurate for optimum acoustic sound. Grover Mini Rotomatic tuning machines are fitted to the AJ-style headstock, effortlessly upholding tuning integrity with precision at a 14:01 ratio.
Fitted to the body is a modern belly-down rosewood bridge with Tusq saddle, which creates a seamless connection between the strings and body to optimise intonation and sustain. Further to this, each Gibson Acoustic 2017 HP 635 W Acoustic Guitar comes complete with a hardshell case to keep it clean and safe.

This guitar has a fantastic sound, which is lovely and bright with good resonance across the bass notes too.
Unplugged this is the loudest acoustic I have ever played.
The build quality is the high standard you would expect from a Gibson.
I went to look at cheaper models, but the extra money spent on this was well and truly worth it!
