Details

The Gibson Les Paul Junior Tribute DC Bass Guitar is based upon the classic Gibson EB-0 bass originally released in the late 50s, given a full update to modern specification. A short scale bass guitar that was designed for smaller players, these smaller instruments are now chosen for a strong fundamental tone that sits well in modern recordings.

Mahogany Double Cut

The solid Mahogany double cut body gives the Les Paul Junior Tribute DC tonnes of harmonic complexity, allowing the lows to stand out alongside a well-voiced midrange and a smooth high end. It gives a good punch and sustain and has been a staple of Gibson basses since they were first produced. Not only does it sound fantastic but the looks are sure to turn heads, with the double cutaway allowing you to access the upper frets with ease.

Short Scale Neck

A short scale Maple neck serves a dual purpose, allowing players a more comfortable playing experience as well as giving the Les Paul Junior Tribute DC a unique voice. The shorter scale lends this bass a thicker, darker tone than a regular scale instrument and means there is less string tension, resulting in notes that 'bloom' in the low end and sound sweeter up high. Married to a Rosewood fingerboard you get 20 frets to experiment with, resulting in a bass guitar with a smooth playing experience that's got ease of use at its forefront.

Expanded Range BassBucker

The Gibson Les Paul Junior Tribute DC Bass has a single expanded range BassBucker with a single volume and tone control for simplicity. Despite the simple set up, you can still get a range of tones from this bass, the volume pot has a push-pull feature to coil tap the pickup, scooping the mids to allow you further sonic shaping possibilities.

Hard-Wearing Hardware

With a 3-point adjustable bridge, you can be assured of fantastic intonation from the Les Paul Junior Tribute DC Bass, with the chrome finished hardware complementing the finish fantastically. Fighting 'neck dive' is a chronic problem for bassists, however, with the Hipshot Ultra-Light Mini-Clovers, this won't be a problem. The lightweight compact design helps lighten the load, using an aircraft-grade aluminium housing that gives remains durable with a small footprint.

The Gibson Les Paul Junior Tribute DC Bass Guitar is a unique sounding and looking instrument that will turn heads and ears, whether you're at the rehearsal room, in the studio or rocking out on stage.
