The Gibson Les Paul Modern Electric Guitar in Faded Pelham Blue Top gives you the classic Les Paul shape and sound, updated with modern furnishings to make a guitar that has thoroughly modern playability and reliability. Whether you're a classic or modern rock fan the Les Paul Modern is equally capable in either spectrum
The Mahogany body of the Les Paul Modern has Ultra-Modern weight relief to give you a comfortable experience playing live whilst still retaining the full-bodied tone and sustain Les Paul's are world renowned for. Mahogany is well known for being a warm tonewood with tonnes of sustain and has been used by Gibson for years, which makes the Les Paul Modern great for blues soloing and hard rock riffs.
Slim Taper, Countoured Heel
The Gibson Les Paul Modern has a Mahogany Assymetrical Slim Taper neck that has been sculpted with a slimmer profile on the treble side of the neck to give you greater playing freedom and ease of use. Combined with the Modern Contoured Heel you get a guitar with amazing upper fret access whilst retaining sustain and stability, perfect for those pentatonic scale runs and epic high string bends. The ebony fretboard has a compound radius to ensure a smooth and comfortable playing feel with 22 frets allowing you hit every note and the Mother of Pearl Trapezoid inlays ensure you never lose your way on even the darkest of stages.
A pair of Burstbucker Pro pickups allow for plenty of tonal scope and are thoroughly modern pickups with a vintage edge. With an Alnico V magnet, these humbucking pickups have clarity of sound alongside harmonic complexity to give you a fat, meaty tone. The controls feature two Push/Pull pots on the volume knobs giving you access to both the classic Gibson humbucker sound and the iconic single coil P90. With a further two Push/Pull pots on the tone knobs you get pure bypass for function and phase switching for tone control. With the Gibson Les Paul Modern there's a whole world of sonic variety open to you.
The Aluminium Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge alongside the Aluminium Stopbar is another Gibson mainstay, ensuring the intonation of your guitar is pinpoint. With Grover Locking Rotomatic tuners and 'Keystone Buttons' heads you get the original Les Paul look with modern tuning stability and reliability. The Chrome plating of the hardware complements the finish to give you a guitar that's equally good looking as it is dependable.
The Gibson Les Paul Modern Electric Guitar in Faded Pelham Blue Top shows that the company have listened to the fans to give a guitar that inherits characteristics from the Gibson golden age whilst updating the spec with modern appointments. Whether you're on stage, in the studio or the rehearsal space you can rely on this guitar to give you great sound time and time again no matter if you're a rock, blues, jazz or country player.
