Details

The Gibson SG Tribute Electric Guitar has all the vintage-inspired looks and features associated with the late 60s style models that are highly sought after by many a guitar player. Although designed with the classics in mind this is a thoroughly modern guitar with a raft of appointments that will suit a variety of players, whether you're a classic rock aficionado or a modern hard rocker.

Mahogany 'Horns' Style Body

Those classic double cutaway 'horns' are well known the world over. From Zappa to Young to Iommi the SG has been synonymous with an array of professional players since it's inception and those striking looks have changed little since then. With an all Mahogany body construction, you get a warmth of tone and bags of sustain that's characteristic of the SG style guitar. Known for being a versatile workhorse the SG is comfortable with an assortment of styles, so whether you're playing metal, hard rock or even jazz this guitar can handle it all.

Rounded Neck Profile

The rounded profile neck is constructed from Maple that matches beautifully with the body tonewood. Combined with a bound Rosewood fretboard you can rest assured that all your notes will ring out with definition and clarity. The fretboard is marked by Acrylic Dot inlays to ensure that you never lose your way, no matter how dark the stage.

Powerful Pickups

The Gibson Tribute SG features two Gibson 490 open coil pickups, wired with Alnico II magnets to give you powerful drive, so whether you prefer warm crunch or something a little more high gain, these pickups are more than capable of delivering the tone needed to excel at an assortment of genres. With plenty of mid-range bite, these pickups have different spacings between the pins to match the string spacing, giving a better balance to the overall sound of the guitar.

Hard-Wearing Hardware

Featuring the tried and tested classic Gibson Aluminium Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge alongside an Aluminium Stop Bar tailpiece the Gibson SG Standard has fantastic intonation, with notes in tune all the way up and down the neck. Paired with Gibson's own tuning machines you're assured of rock steady tuning stability through the hardest downpicking or largest string bends.

Known for its tremendous tone, the Gibson SG Tribute Electric Guitar is a classic guitar reworked for the modern player. Taking influence from the original 60s SG you get the classic looks and feel of one of the most popular guitars of all time, with all the modern trimmings you'd expect from a Gibson ensuring an unparalleled playing experience.
