The Ibanez Gio range is a selection of quality guitars which are created using high-end specs but at a much more economical price, so that guitarists of all levels can take advantage. It has an iconic double cutaway body with sharp features and is equipped with superb components to ensure that you can experiment with a wealth of different tones. Its construction allows the guitar to sit as close to the body as possible offering such a comfortable playing feel that you won’t want to put it down.

The Ibanez Gio GRG121DX model comes in a stunning new Walnut Flat finish and the body is constructed from open pore mahogany. This tonewood is ideal as its density helps to provide a fantastic wealth of balanced tones, while it also gives the body a lightweight feel, perfect for a rock guitarist. The GRG121DX follows the RG double cutaway body shape which is instantly recognisable among generations of rock artists.

Ibanez have securely joined a maple neck to the body of this guitar and it is constructed to a GRG profile. This both enables and improves a faster, effortless playing method, so it’s easy to understand why Ibanez are so popular among metal guitarists.

Aboard the neck is a bound rosewood fingerboard which is home to 24 jumbo frets for you to work your way along. Sharktooth inlays decorate the fretboard which give the guitar a stand-out appearance.

Rock and metal guitarists expect a certain tonal delivery from their guitar of choice, so to make the GRG121DX so appealing, Ibanez have chosen two IBZ-6 humbucking neck and bridge pickups to do the job. These pickups generate a scope of diverse, bright sounds and warm harmonics, all with plenty of volume.

A 3-way pickup selector switch sits with the Volume and Tone controls so that you can completely shape your tone in partnership with the IBZ-6 humbucking neck and bridge pickups.

The Ibanez Gio GRG121DX is fitted with a fixed hardtail bridge to hold a firm connection between the strings and the body.

The Walnut Flat guitar is complemented by black hardware and sturdy tuning machine heads to uphold tuning integrity.

For either a beginner, or a guitarist who is looking to boost their playing ability without having to pay over the odds, the Ibanez Gio GRG121DX Electric Guitar is an ideal choice and is brimming with fantastic features.

Posted on 27/02/2017 by Good quality guitar at a pretty decent price. Would recommend for beginners or intermediate players!
Posted on 16/12/2016 by This is a really nice guitar. It feels nice to play, it's not heavy, it's got a fast fretboard, decent pickups and looks awesome. A great buy!
Posted on 03/03/2016 by For the price this guitar is a steal. Looks the business and is spot on straight out of the box. The fretboard is so fast and really does feel like an expensive guitar. The only draw back and it is a small one is that the tone and volume knobs are plastic but that's easily rectified.
