Stunning maple body

Seriously versatile, the Ibanez AS83 Semi-Acoustic Guitar is built well, with the harmonious convergence of build quality, beauty and tonality apparent at first strum. With this model Ibanez start you off with a sumptuous maple top in a Steel Blue finish. Maple also makes up the back and sides of its double-cutaway form, with a contrasting binding marking the space between top and body.

Comfortable neck

Set into the body of the Ibanez AS83 Electric Guitar is a 3-piece mahogany/maple neck shaped to the slim and comfortable AS Expressionist profile. Also of note, is that this neck is joined at the 17th fret, which, along with the double-cutaway, gives you comfortable access to the upper register. Topping the neck is a bound Ebony fingerboard with medium frets and block inlays.

Keeping everything solid and stable is the ART1 bridge, while the Quik Change III tail-piece allows for fast and easy string changes and full adjustability.

Super 58 Pickups

Arming you for all manner of styles, the Ibanez AS83 Electric Guitar has been outfitted with a pair of humbuckers: Super 58's in the bridge and neck positions. Both contain ceramic magnets and provide a clean sound with a slight overdrive and real low-end punch. On the AS83 these are mounted into the sustain block, to provide smooth, sweet sustain and eliminate (unwanted) feedback.

Giving you full control over the humbuckers, the Ibanez AS83 Electric Guitar provides a 3-way pickup selector switch and individual volume and tone Sure Grip III knobs. These knobs are designed for precision, non-slip control whilst matching the styling.
