The Ibanez JEMJR Steve Vai Jem Junior electric guitar in white makes the coveted Jem Series model available to those who can't stretch quite far enough to buy the Jem77P. Though it might carry a lesser price, it is by no means an inferior model. Instead, Ibanez and Vai have worked hard to craft a model that delivers the same joyful playability, impeccable tonality, and superb level of craftsmanship we've come to expect from a Jem.

Adhering to the classic body design - complete with unique "monkey grip" to aid in performing flashy stage manoeuvres -, the effortlessly smooth lines of the Super Strat body profile has been crafted using mahogany. The dense tonewood of the body produces a thunderous amount of energy that gives the Jem Junior a midrange clout that puts it far and above other contenders. Across the tonal spectrum, you'll be pleased to know that all frequency ranges are accounted for in style, making this a unique and remarkable model. Finished in a crisp white, the Jem Junior is sure to command attention before you even pluck a string.

Fitted to the body is a responsive and easy to control standard DL tremolo bridge, enabling you to dive and wail to your heart's content, safe in the knowledge that the bridge will return to original position smoothly and swiftly. The cosmo black hardware is understated, and complements the finish beautifully.

Married to the body is a maple neck, which is shaped to the slender Wizard III profile. Ibanez know a thing or two about crafting necks that are a joy to play, enabling you to tear along at lightning speeds. Paired with the neck is a sumptuous rosewood fingerboard, which is home to 24-frets that are a guitarist's dream. Adorning the fingerboard is a divine "Tree of Life" inlay, which traces the gorgeous white body finish all the way up to the matching headstock.

The Jem Junior is equipped with a trio of Ibanez's Quantum pickups, with one in each of the neck/mid/bridge positions. Between the three pickups you have a universe of tonal exploration ahead of you. Control couldn't be simpler, with a master volume and a master tone pot to shape and sculpt your output, as well as a 5-way pickup selector switch.

The Jem has been turning heads since its introduction over 25 years ago, and with the Ibanez JEMJR Steve Vai Jem Junior electric guitar in white everyone can get their hands on this enigmatic and awesome guitar. Visually stunning, sonically brilliant, tonally diverse, and a joy to play. What more could any guitarist desire?

Posted on 15/01/2019 by Wanted to get into the electric game after having being stuck with an crappy electro acoustic, Vai is a god, so had to get a JEM, the floyd rose lets me make motorbike sounds, and I can carry it without a case, perfect quality, really nice weight on it too, and it plays magnificently through my Line6 :) Thanks Dawsons :)
Posted on 20/08/2018 by This guitar is very well made, sounds great in my valve amp, it stays in tune very well, I think it is an absolute bargain. This is my first Ibanez, and my first impression is good, very good, now I want more Ibanez strats in different colours.
Posted on 23/10/2016 by Wanted a guitar with a locking trem, jem it is! Awesome guitar for the money and great to see the bridge made from actual steel rather than cast monkey metal at this pricepoint
Posted on 04/01/2016 by The Jem JR is an excellent guitar. It can be compared to few of the high end guitars which says a LOT about the overall build quality, also how in the world can such a good guitar be soooo cheap?

Posted on 05/10/2015 by I was kind of concerned about the build quality at first because the lower cost Ibanez's have had a noticeable quality drop over the last few years, but this guitar feels like a premium quality, expensive guitar. Totally worth it!!
Posted on 10/07/2015 by Does exactly what it was built for.
