The Ibanez RGDIX7MPB model hails from the well-renowned RGD series of guitars, however it has an entirely new and unique build unlike its close relatives in the range. Still instantly recognisable thanks to its deep bevelled body and extra horn cut accompanied by a longer 26.5 inch scale neck, the RGDIX7MPB is a 7-string monster in a dazzling Surreal Blue Burst finish.

As mentioned, the RGDIX7MPB model has a very different body construction to that of its peers. This particular Iron Label guitar has a Poplar Burl top which offers a comfortable, lightweight feel as well as having a striking pattern. This exotic wood top sits just above the natural, layered ash body, giving the RGDIX7MPB an alluring, boutique feel. The pairing of these tonewoods project a full-bodied sound output with a wealth of varying tones at your fingertips.

A special feature of the RGDIX7MPB Iron Label guitar is its extra long scale neck measuring in at 26.5 inches. The neck is constructed out of Maple / Bubinga wood and shaped to the Nitro Wizard-7 profile. RGD series guitars allow you to experiment with a wide range of different tunings, and offers an incredibly thick tone when you down-tune, perfect for rock riffs and big metal chords. Plus, having 7 strings instead of the usual 6 makes it even more fun to play.

Married to the neck is a Birdseye maple fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets at your service. The cutaway horns in the body enable an easy reach to the upper frets when you need to hit the highest of notes.

To amplify the RGDIX7MPB electric guitar, Ibanez have fitted it with DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbucking pickups, which were the brainchild of both Ibanez and DiMarzio. These are the chosen pickups for the RGDIX7MPB Iron Label because of their ability to produce a myriad of articulate tones while also ensuring a smooth response.

The RGDIX7MPB is fitted with a Gibraltar Standard II-7 bridge which holds a firm connection with the strings, consequently improving sustain, response and intonation.

The headstock is equipped with 7 Gotoh locking machine head tuners, upholding tuning integrity for each string. Black hardware offers a contrast in colour against the light maple neck and sub-layer of the body, combined with the Surreal Blue Burst finish.

The Ibanez RGDIX7MPB Iron Label Electric Guitar is an awesome model, which has an incredible boutique feel and appearance. Endowed with many premium, modern appointments, it’s a snatch at this very economical price.
