Superb Soloist body
Since its introduction, the Soloist has been the choice of many thanks to its exceptionally comfortable playing feel. The design creates an instant feel of familiarity that draws players in, and keeps them coming back for more. Whether you like to wear your guitar high and tight for close control, or sling it low and loose for deep palm-muted chugging, the Soloist is perfectly balanced to ensure that it sits just right. The sleek contours and slender body depth establish a snug resting position that allows your hands to fly freely.
The body is crafted using highly resonant mahogany, which lays an exuberant mid-range tonal foundation infused with a generous warmth. Paired with this is a sophisticated quilt maple top to produce an entrancing finish.
The high-speed credentials of the Soloist stem from the single-piece, through-body neck construction. Boasting an enduring sustain that breathes life into each and every note, the generous 25.5-inch scale length maintains consistency across each string for reassuring playing feel throughout each and every gig. The oiled neck finish allows your fretting hand to slide along easily, preventing stickiness or tackiness from slowing you down. The rigidity of the neck is reinforced using graphite rods, which increases longevity and resilience when handling changes in humidity and temperature.
Paired with the neck is a sumptuous ebony, which is home to 24-frets that are adorned with alumiloid Piranha tooth inlays to aid in your navigation. Jackson's compound radius offers a rounder 12-inch radius at the nut, which extends to a flatter 16-inch radius at the neck. The benefit here is that chords can be fretted more easily, sweeps executed smoothly, and string bends are effortless. Jackson have done everything possible to give you the most streamlined playground for your fingers to run around.

The steadfast consistency of the bridge reinforces a confidence in the SL2P's ability to withstand the punishment that comes with gigging. The classic 6-in-line headstock is home to Jackson's die-cast locking tuning machines, which keep uphold tuning integrity with precision.

The guitar is beautiful in looks and sound. I love the Seymour Duncan pickups and the neck been natural (not painted) it feels nice to slide my hand up and down the neck freely. The guitar is incredibly light and has strap locks fitted standard.
If you really love holding Jackson guitars and can afford the extra then do it but all in all regardless of the price or guitar, get what you enjoy to hold as it will help you stick at learning.
My only downside and it was mainly my fault for not researching enough is it does not come with a cable/ strap or picks. Again this is more me been old fashioned and expecting them to be included.
