The MXR M152 pedal is a compact yet durable professional flanger built by the team at Jim Dunlop. It features an incredibly simple interface with just two controls and a footswitch, which is all you need to reach a universe of varying flange effects. The MXR M152 is influenced by the build and sound of its brother, the M117 Flanger, which originally came out in the 80s. However this new and up-to-date version features its own personal upgrades and improvements all in a smaller-bodied pedal that can easily fit on your pedalboard.
One of the most prominent and impressive features of the M152 Micro Flanger is that it is built with 100% analog circuitry and bucket brigade technology, generating that instantly recognisable, warm analog flange tone.
There are two simple controls on the pedal, Rate and Regeneration. This makes it ultimately easy to use and enables you to experiment with a great scope of different flange effects, turning your guitar into a jet one minute, or sending it into outer space the next. The Rate control essentially controls the rate or speed of cycling while the Regen control regulates the level of intensity to suit your playing needs.
The M152 Micro Flanger features some subtle upgrades, such as a stage-ready LED light and a true bypass footswitch to engage and disengage the pedal.
To power the Micro Flanger you can use either a 9V battery or a 9V AC adapter, making it more versatile than its sibling, the M117. The M152 Micro Flanger is a powerful effects tool to have in your live rig, studio or even at home. The M152 gives your guitar the ability to create new and innovative sounds, all via a small, convenient pedal that is built to withstand plenty of use, making it ideal for a live musician or performer.
