The Kawai MP-11SE Stage Piano is packed full of features for any gigging pianist, making it a beautiful instrument to play both on the stage and in the studio. Crammed full of sounds and features the MP range from Kawai is nothing short of spectacular.
Rich palette of sounds
With its new, more powerful audio processor the Kawai MP-11SE Stage Piano is more realistic than previous models, with fuller core sounds, subtle resonances, and character-rich reverb. An expanded sound memory offers exceptional multi-layered, 88-key, extra-long samples.
The Kawai MP-11SE Stage Piano presents a nicely rounded selection of acoustic sounds, with concert, jazz, and pop grand pianos, alongside a full-throated. Furthermore each of these can be altered to fit your wants and needs, thanks to the inclusion of Virtual Technician. This addition opens up parameters that allow you to alter touch weight and voicing, regulate subtle hammer and key release noises, and fine-tune string, lid, and damper resonances.
On top of all the acoustic sounds available, the Kawai MP-11SE Stage Piano also presents a number of vintage electric piano sounds, including tine, reed, and modern pianos, clavs, and electric grands. You can apply effects to these from a selection of over 100 (which are sorted by category), each of which can be adjusted to your liking.
For some performances subsidiary sounds can be almost as important as your main sound, so with this in mind the Kawai MP-11SE Stage Piano offers an expansive choice of strings, pads, basses, and other useful sounds. Like the other sounds, these can be altered to suit and you can also use a flexible parametric EQ to fatten up the overall sound being presented.
Flagship Grand Feel Keys
As the point where player meets piano the keys are so important for an expressive performance. This is why the Kawai MP-11SE Stage Piano has been outfitted with their flagship Grand Feel action; to give you the most authentic playing experience with 100% wood, long keys with Ivory Touch key surfaces and the longest pivot.
The hub of the Kawai MP-11SE Stage Piano lies is the large graphic LCD display, with four assignable real-time control knobs, and a panel interface. Intuitive to use yet content-rich this section opens you up to all the possibilities available.
With so many parameters and effects in can be easy to get lost in making alterations and forget how to get your favourites back. Making your life easier (especially if you’re a gigging musician), the Kawai MP-11SE Stage Piano provides more than 200 setup memory slots. This important feature remembers every customised sound, knob position, fader level, and adjustable parameter at the touch of a button, ready to be recalled at a moments notice.
The Kawai MP-11SE Stage Piano takes you beyond its own parameters with four MIDI channels that can be controlled simultaneously each with their own custom key ranges and user-definable pedal and knob CC# assignments. You can hook up a PC/Mac via USB and to semi-weighted boards with MIDI.
You have even more control available to you with the included Kawai F-30 triple pedal unit, which allows you to either use damper, sustenuto, and soft playing functions or assign other functions. You can also connect to a PA system with pro-grade XLR connectivity and use the high-quality Line Out to connect to monitor speakers.
