Designed for the professional, the Kawai MP-7SE Stage Piano offers acoustic-like feel and a library of sounds that can be edited to fit your needs. Crammed full of sounds and features the MP range from Kawai is nothing short of spectacular.
Plentiful Sound Library
Through it’s expanded sound memory, you’re offered exceptional multi-layered, 88-key, extra-long samples. Add this to the new, powerful audio processor, and the Kawai MP-7SE Stage Piano enters a new realm of realism, with fuller core sounds, subtle resonances, and character-rich reverb.
The Kawai MP-7SE Stage Piano will have the sound and style you’re after, with a varied selection of concert, jazz, and pop grand pianos, alongside a full-throated upright. If a sound isn’t quite to your liking you can delve deeper with Virtual Technician, which lets you alter the characteristics of each sound, with the ability to adjust touch weight and voicing, regulate subtle hammer and key release noises, and fine-tune string, lid, and damper resonances.
Alongside the Kawai MP-7SE Stage Piano’s acoustic sounds are a host of vintage electric piano sounds, including tine, reed, and modern pianos, clavs, and electric grands. You can also add effects from an arsenal of over 100 (sorted by category), each of which can be tweaked to your heart’s content.
Subsidiary sounds are also included in the Kawai MP-7SE Stage Piano’s expansive tool kit, with strings, pads, basses, and useful sounds. Again, a full set of parameters is available to you to alter these to suit, and you also have access to a flexible parametric EQ to beef up the overall sound.
Authentic Grand Piano Feel
The Kawai MP-7SE Stage Piano gives you the smooth, expressive action of an acoustic grand, with the installation of its class-leading Responsive Hammer III keyboard. It doesn’t end there, as the keyboard also includes Kawai’s triple-sensor key detection, ivory-like surfaces, and authentic let-off simulation technologies to give you the performance you would expect of an actual grand.
Organ enthusiasts are also catered for, with the new tonewheel organ simulation available with the Kawai MP-7SE Stage Piano: an addition that gives you 9 real-time adjustable drawbars, authentic percussion controls, and vintage chorus/vibrato settings. Rotary speaker characteristics of organs can be adjusted and the mixer faders on the Kawai MP-7SE can be used to adjust onscreen drawbar registrations.
Taking centre stage on the Kawai MP-7SE Stage Piano is a large graphic LCD display, four assignable real-time control knobs, and an panel interface, all set up to take out the guess work, so you can find what you want as soon as you need it.
The Kawai MP-7SE Stage Piano is excellent for gigging musicians and those who like to play around with parameters, as it allows you to store and recall every customised sound, knob position, fader level, and adjustable parameter, at the touch of a button, to one of over 250 memory slots.
