The Marshall MG15CFX combo guitar amp has the perfect combination of raw power and tonal versatility, in a lightweight and robust cabinet. Marshall have included an impressive selection of effects alongside the ability to store and save personalised settings, which can be operated using the awesome STOMPWARE enabled foot controller (sold separately). Frequency dependent damping has been integrated into every amplifiers circuitry as standard allowing a depth of tone and feeling to the amps sound, which is offered in no other amplifier in its class.
The MG15CFX has four selectable channel options: Clean, Crunch, Overdrive 1, and Overdrive 2. Selectable controls include: Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble, Reverb (Studio/Spring), Volume, FX (Chorus/Phaser/Flanger/Delay/Octave), and Master Level. At your fingertips is a whole universe of tonal possibilities to explore. The Tap tempo button allows you to specify the exact timing of the repeats for delay, putting total creative control in your hands. Beginners can benefit from having a wide selection of effects to practise and get to grips with, whilst more experienced players will appreciate the sublime tonality offered by each effect.
The Store button enables you to save channel specific sounds and settings, which can be selected and adjusted using the STOMPWARE enabled foot controller (sold separately), which is perfect for making changes on the fly during live performances. Settings are remembered in the amplifier allowing the guitarist to return again and again to their preferred sounds. The foot controller also provides access to the onboard tuner feature in the amplifier, which means you can tune up quickly and accurately without having to carry any separate pedals or hand held equipment with you.
The new MG15CFX has 3.5mm jack sockets opening up greater possibilities to the guitarist, enabling you to use headphones for silent practise, as well as using a portable mp3 or CD player to practise or perform along with your favourite tracks.
For all of those guitarists who want more from their amplifier but are not prepared to sacrifice on tone or that awesome Marshall Amplification build quality, the MG15CFX combo guitar amplifier is an absolute must have.

- Quality home practice amp
- A Mighty Atom!
I had one of these and stupidly traded it on for something worth more money.... Note I never said better...
So now I have been reunited with my long lost love of home practice amps!
The MG15FX is simple to use, easy to dial in for a variety of tones and has a decent gain channel (for biting overdrive without waking the kids up/breaking my headphones). You can get some decent heavy tones out of this little beast through the versatility of the amp itself, and there is even a fair bit of headroom if you want to annoy the neighbours.
The FX, whilst somewhat limited, are still a lot of fun to use and sound pretty close to the more expensive boutique pedals.
Forget amp snobbery as if it is affordable but decent tone you want then look no further than this baby grandchild of Jim Marshall THE FATHER OF LOUD!!!
- Good starter amp
