Offering superb value for money, the Merida Milagros M-17DCES is a solid-topped electro acoustic model with superb attention to detail. Great for live performers and recording, this guitar will have heads turning thanks to its great looks and well-rounded tone.
The Merida M-17DCES is made of some great materials, starting off with the solid cedar top. This tonewood makes the M-17DCES sound warm and appealing and the satin finish helps the guitar to sound more "open" as well as feel great in your hands. Laminated ovangkol is used for the back and sides and works as a perfect complement to the lighter coloured cedar adorning the top. The dreadnought with cut away shape will feel very familiar for the majority of players and is a very natural shape to hold and play either seated or standing.
All Merida electro-acoustic guitars have high quality electronic systems on board and the Milagros M-17DCES is no exception. A Fishman ISYS T preamp and Sonicore pickup work together to create a balanced sound with good output levels, making it perfect for live gigs, open mic nights or any other amplified performance. This high quality Fishman preamp has control for volume, tone shaper, phase switch and a low battery indicator.
Everything down to the hardware is of impeccable quality on the Merida Milagros M-17DCES. A Graphtech Black Tusq XL nut and saddle are fitted as standard and give you many benefits. Lubricated with PTFE, an extremely slippery substance, the Black Tusq XL nut and saddle help to keep you in tune for longer periods of time and can also improve the tone of your acoustic guitar by encouraging more harmonics by being extremely resonant.

Overall I am so impressed that I am buying two. One for myself and one for my friend. I've been working in a retail music store selling all the name brands, Taylor, Martin, Collings, Guild and others for many years 20+ to be exact. So I feel very qualified to pass fair judgement on these new Merida guitars!
