The cajon is a traditional percussion instrument that dates back many years, often recognised for its Cuban-style output. The Mirage Cajon Rosewood has an incredibly durable build which contributes to its resonant percussive sound, while the rosewood-style front plate gives it a neat visual aesthetic.
The cajon acts as a portable drum kit for many percussion artists, providing a wide range of percussive tones all without the hassle and additional hardware that comes with a standard drum kit. Traditionally originating in Peru, the Cajon is now a firm favourite all over the world.
Resonant, Durable Woods
The Mirage Cajon Rosewood is built from solid hardwood with a matt finish to provide a sturdy, durable playing feel. This is accompanied by a rosewood style front plate with a natural finish and Mirage logo. The cajon's expansive and resonant tones come from a combination of the wood and the snare style strings which feature on the interior of the box. The strings can be easily adjusted via the soundhole in the rear plate. The Mirage Cajon Rosewood also comes with built-in sleigh bells to add another dimension to its sound.
The Mirage Cajon Rosewood is supplied with a padded, nylon gig bag with a reinforced handle making it easy to carry. The gig bag also comes with optional backpack straps, even better for the travelling musician going from one venue to the next.
There are durable rubber feet fitted to the base of the cajon to enhance grip and stability, preventing the cajon from slipping or moving as you play. For extra comfort, there is also an optional rubber sitting mat which you can place at the top of the cajon before you sit down and play.
