The Nord Grand Digital Piano combines award-winning features with an intuitive interface and premium weighted keybed to give the natural feel of a traditional acoustic grand piano, giving you an extraordinary playing experience.
The Grand Experience
The Nord Grand is the first Nord Digital Piano to feature a triple sensor keybed to track the movements of the hammers as opposed to the keys, accurately conveying the dynamic touch of an acoustic grand piano. This advanced mechanism provides extraordinary control whether you're playing pianissimo or fortissimo, replicating fluent repetitions and retriggering without lifting the keys completely. The Kawai Responsive Hammer keybed gives you optimal authenticity and the Ivory Touch keys feel just like a real grand piano.
With a wide variety of sounds, the Nord Grand includes 10 Grand Pianos, 9 Uprights, 10 Enhanced Electric Pianos, Clavinet, Digital Pianos and more, all handpicked for their unique character. All sounds can be easily replaced by using the Nord Sound Manager and this hotbed of options means there's something for every situation, on stage or in the studio. Nord's state of the art sampling techniques ensure the subtle intricacies and nuances of each instrument are captured with incredible realism.
Nord's Advanced String Resonance reproduces the intricate interplay of piano strings resonance, recreating complex harmonic frequencies alongside the realistic resonant ambience of a live grand piano. The Nord Triple Pedal features Soft, Sostenuto and a Dynamic Sustain Pedal to recreate real pedal-down playing. The Pedal Noise feature simulates the mechanical sounds of lifting and releasing of the damper mechanism, giving you realistic sound alongside complete control.
Sample Synth Section
The Nord Grand Digital Piano also features a wide variety of synth sounds including Strings, Brass, Synths, Choirs and more. The Nord Sample Library 3.0 also includes the sounds of the legendary Mellotron and Chamberlin and again all sounds are replaceable using the Nord Sound Manager. Controls for attack, decay/release, filter/velocity let you scope the synth sound and you can also create your own samples using the free Nord Sample Editor, compatible with both Windows and Mac.
To add further to its exhaustive list of features the Nord Grand also has a wide variety of tweakable stereo effects modelled after classic stompboxes, assignable to both the Piano and Sample Synth sections. With Tremolo, Phaser, Chorus, Pan, Wah, Ring Modulation, Flanger, Vibe, EQ, Delay and Reverb. The Reverb features Hall, Stage and Room to give you the ultimate listening experience.
The Nord Grand Digital Piano is the ultimate grand piano experience, a premium piano in an attractive housing with a vast wealth of features and functionality. The finesse and sensitivity really make it a player's keyboard and this one plays beautifully and sounds incredible.
