A powerful and compact synthesiser with the capability to be used in a huge range of musical styles, the Novation Minivova is functional, practical and most importantly, sounds great.
Using the same technology that lay under the hood of the highly acclaimed UltraNova synthesiser, the Novation MiniNova is loaded with 256 preset sounds that show off the units capability while remaining musical. The interface is simple and lets you load up sounds based on musical genre or type so you can quickly find the type of sound you want. Creation of your own sounds is possible too, with 128 user patches available.
Versatile synth in a compact package
Great as a studio tool that doesn't take up too much space and perfect as a live performance synth, the Novation MiniNova is truly versatile. Don't be put off by the use of mini keys, as they're of a great quality with a good synth-action style. The addition of easy to reach octave shift buttons is a nice touch too, allowing for really quick lines spanning several octaves
Built-in vocoder, VocalTune and many other possibilities
The Novation MiniNova has an on-board vocoder, great for creating retro vocal effects perfect for many styles of music. The vocoded sound can even be routed through the internal effects of the synth, adding distortion, reverb, EQ and more to the tone. You can even run external sound sources through the effects engine to create new and exciting sounds.
Innovative ways to tweak your sound
8 back-lit pads allow you to tweak your sound in many ways. You can use it to change the rhythm of an arpeggio or mod your synth sound for diversity. A large and prominent filter dial lets you choose and alter the cutoff frequency of the filter quickly without trawling through any menu screens, great for live performance.
Downloadable sound packs
Novation are doing their best to make sure you always get the most out of your MiniNova, especially by regularly providing new downloadable sound packs. These packs are created by and with legendary artists and sound designers, so you know that they're all usable sounds for stage or studio.
