Whether you're an amateur who is just starting out in the world of recording, or a professional looking for an easy-to-use and quick way to lay down your ideas, then the Presonus Audiobox USB 96 Studio Recording package has everything you need.
In the package you get the Audiobox USB audio and MIDI interface, HD7 studio headphones, the M7 studio condenser microphone and Presonus' Studio One digital audio workstation.
Audiobox USB 96
The bus-powered Audiobox 96 USB audio and MIDI interface is a plug and play dream that is compatible with both Mac and Windows based operating systems. The sleek and compact design is as functional as it gets with 2 combo mic/instrument inputs with Class A mic preamplifiers and phantom power for condenser microphones, allowing you to record vocals or instruments with ease. The Audiobox 96 USB is capable of recording at 24-bit resolution with a 44.1/48 kHz sampling rate. Thankfully, Presonus have gone to great lengths to ensure zero-latency monitoring is a breeze via the internal analog mixer, allowing you to track what you're playing in real-time and with minimal fuss. The headphone jack has an individual level control, which allows you to adjust the signal volume. Included in the bundle is a computer-to-interface connection cable so you're good to go as soon as it arrives.
Presonus' HD7 studio monitoring headphones are designed with high neodymium resolution drivers, a precision-tuned acoustic chamber and extended bass response. Simply put, the HD7s produce a flat response across the frequency spectrum, which is essential for accurate monitoring so that certain frequencies don't become over or under-emphasised. This allows you to get on with recording with total confidence, safe in the knowledge that the balanced levels you hear are spot on. The earpads are made from leather and the headphones have been designed to fit snugly to reduce exterior noise. Lightweight and tough, the HD7s are perfect for long recording sessions. A 2.5m single-side cable is included.
M7 Studio Condenser Microphone
The M7 is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone, which is superb at capturing the rich and complex timbre of vocalists and acoustic instruments, e.g. acoustic guitar, cello, violin, etc. The M7 requires phantom power, but the Audiobox USB easily deals with that. A 3m cable and cloth carry bag are included.
Studio One 3
The Studio One 3 digital audio workstation (DAW) provides an elegant single-window work environment. Studio One Artist 2 has the same functionality of other popular DAWs, but the key here is enabling a streamlined workflow. Laying down tracks, editing and mixing, are all very simple tasks thanks to intuitive layout, and you'll be flying in no time. As with the hardware, the Studio One Artist 2 DAW is compatible with both Mac and Windows, allowing it to fit perfectly into your existing setup and workflow.
Presonus have won many awards throughout their illustrious career, and their Audiobox 96 Studio Recording Package has received the same attention-to-detail and careful construction that has gone into their flagship products. For form, functionality, ease of use and superb quality, this package is in a class of its own!
