Description

Details

The choice of acoustic guitar amps available is far from vast, so when you find one you actually like it generally comes with a price tag you’re less keen on. The Redwood A-15C Acoustic Guitar Amplifier offers all the essential features to get the sound you want, in a good looking, retro-styled brown and gold chassis, at a price that’s a lot easier on the pocket.

Construction

With 15 watts of power and a 6.5” speaker, the Redwood A-15C Acoustic Guitar Amplifier is an excellent jamming amp. The A-15C is nice and lightweight and has a built-in handle at the top making it incredibly easy to carry from one place to the next. To protect the edges of the amp from scratches and damage, Redwood have fitted metal-covered corners which have a luxurious gold finish to complement the retro brown exterior.

Controls

The A-15C amplifier has all the controls you need to enhance your overall acoustic sound when you're plugged in. Redwood have included a built-in Chorus effect option with a select switch and a Speed rotary control to adjust the ripple of this effect. Alongside this added extra, you can easily control your overall sound output using the Master Volume and the 3-band EQ which is comprised of Bass, Middle and Treble to sculpt your tone to taste.

Connectivity

To connect your electro acoustic guitar up with the Redwood A-15C amp, it has a standard 1/4 inch jack input with an onboard power switch and LED light indicator. Once plugged in, adjust your sound using the onboard controls and play away.

For silent, neighbour-friendly practice, the Redwood A-15C Acoustic Amp offers a 6.3mm headphone socket, so you can hook up a pair of headphones whenever it's getting a bit late and you don't want to stop playing! Doing this will mute the amp’s speaker, so the sound comes through the headphones only. This is also a great way to listen and improve on your playing skills and techniques without anybody else hearing you, and can often be a great way to build up your playing confidence.

The Redwood A-15C Acoustic Guitar Amplifier offers substantial amplification in a portable size speaker which comes at an affordable price that any guitarist can accommodate.

Reviews
Posted on 27/12/2017 by I bought this to run an electro-acoustic guitar through for practice and playing in a duo. It’s a smart looking amp, well made and with a good clean sound. The chorus works well, I’ve been using it now for over a year with no problems, and I’d thoroughly recommend it.
Posted on 24/12/2017 by Bought this to use with my Tanglewood acoustic to which I've added a pick-up and the sound is excellent. It's so good that a much more seasoned player was so impressed he is going to order one too. Great amp at a very good price and very good service from Dawsons.
Posted on 14/01/2016 by Firstly the amp arrived very well packaged and padded. Considering this amp is entry level it has exceptional build quality compared to some other well known brands that I have used. The amp looks quite classy with a good finish all around.
As for sounds they are very basic but perfectly acceptable for anyone who wants a competent acoustic practice amp that does a fair amount of justice to your instrument. It also doesn't loose tone when played quietly. The added chorus effect is cool but isn't really to my tastes.
