The Redwood G1 Goth Electric Guitar in Matt Black is a cool and collected model that combines smooth, slender body lines, a fast playing neck, versatile pickups, resilient hardware and an understated finish. Whether you're just starting out on your musical journey, or have many years’ experience under your fingers, this model feels comfortable and familiar in any player's hands.

Cool Archtop Body

The Redwood G1 ties together form and function beautifully, with a super slender archtop body profile, with contoured grooves and bevelled edge to create a delightful figure-hugging feel. The lightweight design means that wielding this superb guitar never feels taxing. The body is built using mahogany, which delivers substantial mid to low end power that is filled with warmth with buckets of warmth and carefully measured highs. Completing the striking aesthetic is a delightful matt black finish.

Lighting Fast Neck

Connected to the body is a 3-piece Canadian hard maple neck, which is shaped to a fast playing slim, wide profile. The benefits of this neck design means that you have the perfect platform for making rapid transitions across the strings. The finish allows you to move smoothly without tackiness from impeding your movement along the neck. Whether you're looking to execute some solid down-picked chugging, elaborate sweeps, deft legato, two-handed tapping, or strumming, your hand will feel at home along this supple support. Paired with the neck is a smooth and responsive 24-fret blackwood fingerboard with offset white dot position inlays and a 12th fret marker.

Versatile Electronics Setup

The Redwood G1 is equipped with a humbucker in the bridge position, and two single-coils fitted in the middle and neck positions. Control comes in the form of a master volume pot, a master tone pot, and a five-way pickup selector switch. The range of tones that can be pulled from this set-up will blow you away, translating the warmth of the mahogany alongside the crispness of the maple/blackwood partnership sweetly. Whether played with the volume rolled back for subtlety, or cranked up to deliver a gritty and overdriven tone, you won't be disappointed by the roaring power of these beauties.

Resilient Hardware

The headstock is home to hardworking sealed die-cast tuning machines, which dutifully uphold tuning integrity throughout each and every performance. Fitted to the body is a TR-3 tremolo bridge that allows you to smoothly and precisely control the vibrato over all strings.

Posted on 24/08/2019 by its very light and a slightly smaller body than my old guitar. the pickups are great but you can change them but not a necessity. it gives great upper neck access and came to my door almost perfectly setup!
Posted on 28/07/2019 by it is a very nice design and has great neck but needs to be in bright red.
Posted on 21/02/2019 by First of all it arrived a week early (it was on back order at the time)
Second of all. Good lord, If I could do dirty things to it I would....

Build quality is far better than expected! The finish is even and without nasty, gritty sandpaper like parts you'd usually find on a cheaper guitar.

Would HIGHLY recommend this to any guitarist young or old, The current set up is nice and suits new players to a T, More experienced guitarists may want to swap the pick-ups out for something a bit more fancy but it's not a "must do".

Fairly lightweight with a skinny neck and mahogany body??? Witchcraft I tell you.
Posted on 22/11/2017 by SSH setup, tremelo arm included, I paired it with the £50 odd small amp package so had strap lead amp and a few picks along with a tuner.
The quality is high for the price and sounds great.
Great purchase for a new / broke player. Had to tune but no issues there.
Thank you Dawsons!!
