The Redwood M1 Mandolin is ideal for players that want classic Mandolin tone, but also need the ability to amplify their sound for gigs. The stunning build and finish of the Redwood M1 is complimented by the quality appointments that make the M1 a pleasure to play.

Solid spruce

The body of the Redwood M1 is crafted from a linden top and linden back and sides. The top includes "f-holes" that help to project a full-bodied tone with plenty of volume, perfect for standalone use. The body also plays home to a black pick guard which matches the sunburst finish perfectly.

The hard maple neck contains a black walnut fingerboard, a very popular choice owing to the fact that it is hard wearing and offers a smooth playing experience. The neck also houses 20 frets and white dot positional inlays.

Other appointments include the 14:1 ratio tuners that provide consistently solid tuning and an engraved nickel plated tailpiece pulling the strings tight over the adjustable black walnut bridge.

The Redwood M1 Mandolin offers superb build quality, tone and appealing cosmetics without an unappealing price tag, an excellent mandolin for new players to find their musical feet with.

Posted on 12/01/2019 by Average instrument. No set up. Bridge and intonation way off. Strings part rusty where tissue paper didn't cover in packing. Had to do a full set up myself. Work on the bridge to bring the action down as the adjuster doesn't go low enough. Frets sharp on ends if you run your fingers down each side of the neck. It's OK to get a tune out off but sadly lacking and won't stay in tune on different chords. If your serious about learning mandolin save for a better product. If you just want to test if your into mandolin without breaking the bank, then after some work on getting it more user friendly, it's passable for the cheap price.
