Posted on 15/06/2019 by this guitar was bought for a knock around the house guitar ,I have to say the workmanship and finish is really good ,I don't know how they make any money selling them, ive got many electric guitars and this sounds better than one of my epiphones which cost 5x more,i haven't changed strings yet but will do as its only my preference,it came with low action and a little tune up and was ready to go,i lowered action again to my liking and played it through my fender mustang amp and its great clean and even better on bridge pickup really great tones /sounds,at 79 quid unbelievable, dont think about it buy it and you wont be disappointed.
Posted on 04/12/2018 by I just received my RT2 from Dawson's and I have to say it's spot on and for the price and for my purposes it seems an excellent buy.
Packaging was nice even the strings wrapped and with a silica gel inserted to maintain the condition in transit.
I've put it through my Vox amp and the pickups sound nice and clean.
I'm not making any additional adjustments, I just tuned it and it's playable straight out of the box.
Posted on 19/11/2017 by I bought one of these Redwood telecasters a couple of months ago. Had a test drive in the shop and couldn't believe how well it played considering the cheap price. Had to make a few adjustments to the bridge to sort out an intonation problem with one of the strings but apart from that it was ready to go, amazing! Nice tone from the pick ups too. Great as a back up, but good enough to gig with if push comes to shove. Tough and durable, worth the dosh.
Posted on 10/11/2017 by Picked one up in the Alty store as a platform to practice modding, and teach my young cousin some basics . FIRST AND FOREMOST the fret ends on the Treble (thin string) side of the fret board were quite sharp . Something you may want to be wary of (may not be the case for other Redwood instruments) . But other than that a pretty decent piece of kit at £79 . The pickups and pots were pretty good, lots of clarity and no hum or scratching sounds . I've done a lot of work to mine and might even pick up another . For now I've kept the bridge pup and converted it into a '72 deluxe kinda style . But with a TV jones style neck pup, locking tuners and Orange Drop capacitors . It handled all of this modding like a champ . Finally the finish . It's tough, durable and kids shouldn't mess it up too badly
