The 1970s saw the creation of Rolands System 100, 100M and 700 synthesizers. These groundbreaking synthesizers soon rose to fame due to their amazing flexibility and character of sound. Many world class artists put these remarkable synths to use over countless tracks but as time marched on, the System series grew rare and almost mythical... until now.
If the Roland System 1 synthesizer was a human body, then the Analog circuit behaviour system would definitely be the heart. The ACB system is used to carefully analyse every aspect of analog circuits and then faithfully recreate them down to the finest details. This means the System 1 can deliver both classic and cutting edge sounds.
Plug out, plug in
Here's the party piece... Not only can the Roland System 1 generate it's own staggering tone, but it can also be used to control and even host software recreations of classic Roland synthesizers with no computer required! This is known as 'Plug-Out' technology, exclusive to the System 1. You can even seamlessly switch between the internal sounds of the System 1 and that of the loaded plug-in.
Looks to kill
Once you first cast your eyes over the Roland System 1 the first thing that will grab you is the dizzying array of lights, performance ready controller knobs and sliders that scream classic synth character! The build quality is also of the most impressive quality too, the clean and sharp edges match the rest of the line-up in the Roland Aira series majestically.
The Roland System 1 is the most compact synth that Roland have ever made yet they have managed to do this with a 25 note keyboard that's simply wonderful to play.
Other amazing features of the Roland System 1 include the ability to can connect the System 1 to your computer via its USB jack to send and receive Audio and MIDI data, including MIDI clock data to sync with external devices.
Bringing a classic range back to life and mixing it with aggressive attitude and cutting edge style, the Roland System 1 Synthesizer is made available for a whole new generation to discover.
