The Roland DJ-505 DJ Controller for Serato DJ offers an integrated powerhouse for producers and DJs to flex their creative muscles on. The two-channel, four-deck interface sits comfortably alongside a built-in drum sequencer that boasts kits and samples derived from Roland's legendary TR-808, and TR-909 drum machines. Thanks to the immersion of Serato DJ software, you can take your tracks from idea to finished product with the greatest of ease. Whether you're completing a mix in the studio, or performing to an adoring crowd, the DJ-505 DJ Controller offers exceptional flexbility.
Integrated TR drum machine
The DJ-505 is home to some of the sounds that revolutionized music, helping to shape the cultural landscape for decades. Borrowing from the flagship DJ-808 DJ Controller, the DJ-505 boasts Roland's integrated TR drum machine with patented ACB (Analog Circuit Behavior) technology. What that means is not only do you have faithful recreations of TR-808, TR-909, TR-606* and TR-707* kits (NB* - available in future firmware update), but you can edit and manipulate the samples to make them as unique as you are.
Immersive Serato DJ integration
Roland's partnership with Serato DJ means that not only do you have a fully-fledged standalone performance controller, but you can remix, produce, and perform all at once. As well as being used to program drum patterns from the TR drum machine, the internal 16-step sequencer can be used to trigger the Serato Sampler, enabling beats to be synced to your Serato DJ tracks for seamless control. The workflow of the software has been matched with dedicated buttons for loop control, Serato Flip, hot cues, FX and key sync. Not only that, but if you purchase Serato DVS (sold separately), then full DVS support is provided.
Scratch-friendly work surface
For those who like to scratch, absolute tactile control is vital. Roland knows this, which is why the large, low-latency platters with brushed aluminium plates feel and respond as they do - perfectly! You can rest assured that no matter what you want to throw at this beauty, you performance will be translated flawlessly. You can even switch between four Serato decks with the Deck Select button, giving you greater depth to showcase your talents.
Works fine by itself, plays well with others
Roland has equipped the DJ-505 with a plethora of connectivity choices to meet the demands of today's discerning producers and DJs. Balanced XLR outputs connect directly to a PA, with monitor mixes available via Booth Outs and 1/4- and 1/8-inch Phones jacks. Thanks to the built-in audio interface, 24-bit/48kHz data transmission is assured for absolute audio clarity. As if all that wasn't enough, a 1/4-inch TS mic input allows vocals or external instruments to be connected to expand your capabilities even further.
