Designed to reduce the sound and vibration created when playing V-Drums, the Roland NE-10 Isolation Board is an essential addition for anyone with unhappy neighbours.
Although with headphones plugged in, V-Drum kits are already noted for being extremely quiet, there is still a modicum of unwanted sound created by the physical action of using kick and hi-hat pedals. For the most part this is not a problem but for those who have experienced angry neighbours banging on their door because of excessive noise and vibration the Roland NE-10 Isolation Board, along with the Roland NE-1, is the answer.
With the creation of Noise Eater technology, Roland has instilled innovative design and powerful isolating properties. The NE-10 Isolation Board, used in conjunction with the Roland NE-1 Isolation Feet, can reduce noise transfer by (approximately) 75% compared to pedals that are not equipped with either. The Roland NE-10 Isolation Board is, as its name suggests, a compact board with multiple dome-shaped rubber dampers and a low profile design, which ensures sound isolation without affecting playing feel or stability.
For maximum effectiveness, a Roland NE-10 Isolation Board should be placed under each kick and hi-hat pedal and a NE-1 under each mesh-head kick pad and hi-hat Stand leg. It can also be used on its own with the Roland KD-9 Kick Pad, KD-7 Kick Trigger, or FD-8 Hi-Hat Control Pedal.
