In the mid to late 60s, Plexi amps were incredibly popular thanks to its ability to enhance lead distortion and produce a big, crunchy sound. With the LEF-324, Rowin have developed an effects pedal which mirrors that vintage Plexi sound. So whether you're looking for a little overdrive, or want to generate a classic rock sound with plenty of potency, the Plexion modelling pedal can do all this and more. The best thing with the Rowin pedals is that you're getting a high quality, premium pedal that is loaded with character and tone but at a price that is affordable for the masses to take advantage of.

It's easy to use the controls on the Plexion pedal thanks to its convenient layout and each control has a unique way of shaping your sound to suit you. There are three knobs that control Gain, Tone and Volume, as well as a toggle switch to flick between Bright and Normal sounds, and a true bypass footswitch control to finish.

The toggle switch has two options of either Bright or Normal. Using the Bright channel allows you to enter into classic rock to late 80s and early 90s rock territory depending on just how much gain you wish to apply. To go that extra step further into creating blistering lead tones, just turn the gain up to full and hear that roaring sustain that we all know and love when you're really testing an amp to the limit!

The Normal channel is by no means average by any stretch of the imagination, just adjust the gain, tone and volume dials to get the desired output and you will be amazed by its rich, full-bodied output that sounds just as good clean as it does heavily distorted.

Don't be fooled by the compact size of the Rowin LEF-324 Plexion pedal as it is more than tough enough to deal with some serious stage stomping when attached to any pedalboard so you can feel confident during any live performance.

The Rowin LEF-324 Plexion Modeller Guitar Effects Pedal is an outstanding piece of kit that will absolutely boost your live sound and it comes at an affordable price so you won't be out of pocket.

Posted on 21/09/2017 by Jumbodufus This is a really great simulation of a Marshall Stack. To me it sounds like either a Marshall 1959 or a 2203 simulation. I have tried out many including the JOYO British and Marshall offerings on a Boss GT-1. Neither of those are anywhere as good as this. The JOYO lacks aggression and top end so is quite unconvincing ;and the Boss is just very flat, lifeless and not very responsive (too digital). The Boss simulation will not respond to different pick-ups (humbuckers or single coil) it just sounds the same using both, nor body styles it is somewhat generic as a tone. The gain on the Boss is highly digital and non-musical. These are just my opinions. This Rowin Plexion addresses all the niggles that I had with the other simulations. It is highly responsive to pickups and volume controls which also the Boss was not good at. It sounds aggressive when driven and has a very good and convincing EQ. All in all its is probably the best simulation of a Marshall that I have encountered. Used with humbuckers get a sound similar to Angus or used with a Strat and mess with the Volume and you can recreate a sound similar to Jimi so what more do you want? It would have been good to have a demonstration with a Strat in the video other than that great video. If you are using this through an amp use a clean channel and keep the EQ neutral.
