Details
The CP404 is a cajon like no other, proving to be the most successful one to be made by Schlagwerk so far. The versatile 2inOne Snare Cajon allows you to play it like a traditional cajon or use it as a universal snare cajon, offering you double sonic options. Schlagwerk have delicately made the 2inOne Cajon in Germany, and at such a reasonable price it demonstrates pure percussive quality.
Resonant Woods
The 2inOne Cajon is constructed from 8 layers of birch that make up the crate-like box body, while a beechwood front plate provides a smooth playing surface. Schlagwerk have employed 2inOne technology with 40 spirals on the interior to produce that resonant, crisp percussive sound.
2inOne Technique
As mentioned, there are 40 spirals in the 2inOne cajon, and these press against the front plate at a specific angle as chosen by Schlagwerk. When you tap the playing surface this causes the spirals to vibrate, and this is what produces a modern snare-cajon sound.
Though, as this is a 2inOne cajon, the variable snare crossbar which hosts the spirals can of course be removed. This reverts the CP404 back to its authentic, more Cuban-style sound.
By employing a removable snare crossbar it opens up a whole universe of well-controlled but diverse tones that cover many various musical genres to suit any musician. The cajon comes in a standard size and feels comfortable enough to sit on while playing during any performance.
The CP404 2inOne cajon has the appearance of a shipping crate, offering a neat yet unique visual aesthetic. Handmade in Germany, you can be assured that the Schlagwerk CP404 2inOne Cajon is built to an immensely high standard to provide a wide range of innovative percussive sounds.
