For many years the Stratocaster has been widely regarded by guitarists of all walks of life, however when you're just starting out on your musical journey you may not be able to afford one. Not anymore! Squier have expertly crafted the Bullet Stratocaster so that beginners and young players can now get their hands on their favourite axe. Now featuring a hard tail non-tremolo bridge, this is the ideal guitar to learn your trade with.
As you would expect, the Bullet Stratocaster has the double cutaway body shape. This sits snug against the player, and its contours allow you to get full access to the neck without having to stretch. Squier have chosen basswood to construct the body as it is both solid and lightweight, giving the guitar a sturdy, reliable feel but without wearing too heavy on your shoulders. The colour of the body is protected thanks to a polyurethane finish.
A 25.5 inch scale length maple neck is firmly joined to the basswood body and shaped to the comfortable "C" profile. There are 21 medium jumbo frets topping the neck on a sumptuous 9.5 inch radius rosewood fingerboard. The frets feature pearloid white dot inlays to guide you up and down the neck as you are learning.
The Bullet Strat may appeal to beginners, but that does not mean that Squier have compromised on its sound quality. Standard Single-Coil Strat pickups are fitted in the neck and middle to deliver that traditional Strat tone, but a Standard Humbucking pickup takes the bridge position rather than having a third single-coil. This delivers a fat tone with a higher output.
The control panel includes Master Volume, Tone 1 for the neck pickup and Tone 2 for the bridge pickup. A 5-position switch blade allows you to alter between the pickup combinations.
The Bullet Strat now features a 6-saddle hard tail non-tremolo bridge. There is no tremolo with this particular model, but this makes it much easier to learn how to play and perfect your technique.
The typical Strat-shaped headstock is fitted with reliable standard die-cast tuners to keep each string well in tune.
The polyurethane colour finish of the body is protected by a 1-ply white pickguard, while the white plastic control knobs add a neat visual aesthetic to this classic guitar.
