The Squier Affinity Telecaster Electric Guitar in Race Green is the latest addition to Fender's affordable Squier range. Although considered a budget/beginner range don't let that fool you into thinking that these guitars aren't serious machines. Squier guitars work just as well for touring musicians as they do for the newbie and the Affinity Telecaster is no exception.

Classic Looks, Modern Spec

The Telecaster was the first commercially successful solid-body guitar and such a fantastic piece of design that little has changed since it's inception. Like it's 50's forerunner the Squier Affinity Telecaster has an alder body, giving it a balanced and full-bodied tone. Alder is well known for being one the most versatile tonewoods, so whether you want to play rock, country, blues or even heavy metal this guitar can handle it all.

A maple, 'C' shape neck gives a playing comfortability that handles double stop bends or shred scale runs in equal measure. The Indian Laurel fingerboard lets your hands glide easily over the neck with precision and the comfortable 9.5-inch radius lets you play with aplomb. With 21 medium-jumbo frets, you're assured of hitting every note and the white dot inlays ensure you never lose your way.

Powerful Electronics, Reliable Hardware

The Squier Affinity Telecaster features two Vintage-Style Single-Coil Tele pickups which give you plenty of the classic Tele treble twang, perfect for country, jazz and blues guitar. Turn the gain up and you'll find this guitar equally capable of handling harder rock styles making for one versatile machine. With a three-way pickup selector and master volume and tone controls the sound you're looking for is never too far away.

Unusually for a Telecaster, this guitar features a six-saddle bridge setup giving you rock-solid intonation and plenty of options for customisation, whether you want to set-up for big country bends or fast riffing and soloing. Coupled with a reliable set of die-cast tuning machines this guitar upholds it's tuning conscientiously to ensure that no matter what you're playing you stay in tune.

The Squier Affinity Telecaster in Race Green is an outstanding guitar at a fantastic price point, perfect for the newbie guitarist or the more seasoned musician looking for something to practice or jam on.

Posted on 13/02/2020 by Have had lots of guitars the past 40 years, some good some bad, but this little gem is right up there with the good ones. Wasn't expecting much for £150 quid but this proved me well wrong, can't find a fault anywhere, no sharp fret ends and good set up right out of the box, in fact I could have gigged with it right out of the box. These Affinity Series seem to be getting better made, very impressed. If you need a guitar for not much money, don't hesitate in buying this, cheaper than a night out but more enjoyable. BUY IT!!!
