The Squier Classic Vibe Starcaster Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar in Natural is based upon one of Fender's quirkier creations of the 70s. With a unique offset hollow body and individual curved headstock the Starcaster was divisive upon its initial release but over the course of time has become highly sought after due to its great tone and rarity in the vintage market. The Classic Vibe model aims to recreate all that classic aesthetic whilst updating it with modern craftsmanship.
Laminated Maple Hollow Body
The Classic Vibe Starcaster has a semi-hollow body construction to give you that sought after hollow body tone. Composed of Laminated Maple you get a snappy sound that is clear with plenty of acoustic ring. The Classic Vibe Starcaster twangs when you use it on the clean amp setting but still has loads of growl when you switch to overdrive or distortion. The F-Holes look fantastic, adding a touch of class to the offset shape of the body.
All-Maple Neck Construction
Featuring an all-Maple neck and fretboard construction to match the Laminated Maple body, the Classic Vibe Starcaster really hits the mids and highs well, giving you plenty of brightness to your sound without anything in the way of mud from the tone. The neck is shaped to the Fender staple 'C' shaped profile and the matched Maple fretboard feels glorious under your fingers with 22 narrow-tall frets accompanied by Black Dot inlays to ensure you never lose your way on even those most adventurous of scale runs. The neck is finished with a slick vintage-tint gloss for that old-school vibe.
Wide Range Humbuckers
A pair of Fender Wide Range Humbuckers give you some serious high fidelity tone, making the Classic Vibe Starcaster perfect for a variety of styles. Great for crunchy rhythm playing and searing lead tones a separate Volume and Tone knobs for each pickup give you plenty of scope for sonic sculpting. With a 3-position toggle switch, you can switch between either pickup on its own or both at the same time making this one extremely powerful and versatile guitar.
Unusually for a Squier model, this guitar features an Adjustable Bridge with Stop Tailpiece, ensuring your intonation is always on point. The Vintage-Style Tuning Machines give you rock-steady stability, so you can always rely on this guitar no matter how aggressively you like to hit the strings. The unusual Starcaster headstock features a stripe on the lower side that goes nicely with the body colour, adding an unusual yet visually striking aesthetic to the headstock of this guitar.
The Squier Classic Vibe Starcaster Semi-Hollow Body Electric Guitar in Natural is packed full of features that you'd ordinarily find on a far pricier guitar. Based on the guitar played by Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood, Killers guitarist Dave Keunig and Jamie Cook of the Arctic Monkeys, you know you're getting a great playing guitar with plenty of rock and roll heritage.
