Combining vintage premium appointments with value and tons of character, the Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass makes a world class, bass playing experience available to today's musicians on a budget.
The body of the Vintage Modified Jazz Bass is crafted from basswood. This tonewood is renowned for its density that helps give the vintage modern its pure tone whilst remaining lightweight and comfortable, even during the longest of gigs and practice sessions. The solid maple neck is 'C' shaped for added comfort and contains an ebonol, fretless fingerboard. For visual appeal and for faster playing, the neck is finished in a gloss polyurethane.
To pick up the pure and powerful tone of the Vintage Modified Jazz Bass, Fender have designed a single coil Jazz Bass pickup. You have 2 of these to play with, one in the neck position and one in the bridge. These are controlled with the knurled chrome dome control knobs that let you adjust volume of each pickup independently and the master tone.
Other great features of the Vintage Modified Jazz Bass include a synthetic bone nut, chrome hardware, 4-saddle vintage style bridge and standard open gear tuning machines. The Vintage Modified Jazz Bass guitar was built with quality in mind and thanks to Squier, it comes at an amazing price for a new wave of bassist to play today.
