The Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass Indian Laurel Fingerboard Bass Guitar in Olympic White continues the tradition set out by this superb instrument. From the feel and finish to its sound and style, the Vintage Modified Jazz Bass is a fantastic model for those who like to shine on stage, striking the perfect balance between comfort and performance for bassists of all abilities and skill levels.
Jazz Bass cool
Adhering to the classic lines of the Jazz Bass body shape, Squier's Vintage Modified model is effortlessly cool. Built using basswood, the offset profile is lightweight in the hands yet offers a punchy and versatile tonal arsenal. Whether you're sitting down or standing up, the Jazz Bass sits just right so that you can get on with what you do best.
The Olympic White paintwork has been treated to a protective coating of gloss polyester. Over time, the paintwork will develop a unique played-in aesthetic that is true to you. Partnered with a tortoise-style pickguard, this bass oozes vintage charm.
Sturdy maple neck
Joined to the body is solid maple neck, which is shaped to a substantial yet comfortable "C"-shape profile. The generous 34-inch scale length pairs well with the maple to deliver articulate notes along its entire length. The Indian Laurel fingerboard is a delight for the fingers to explore. There are 20 frets adorned with pearloid dots to guide your way, whilst the 9.5-inch fingerboard radius responds well to executing seamless string bends, laying down licks, or slapping through some funky basslines. The neck has also received the gloss polyurethane finish, preserving playing feel consistency as you slide up and down the neck.
Fender-designed Jazz Bass pickups
In the middle and bridge positions you'll find Fender-designed single-coil Jazz Bass pickups, which allow you to cruise through performances with an uplifting energy. Control over the pickups comes in the form of independent volume controls for each pickup, as well as a master tone control. To achieve the tone that you desire, simply attenuate these pots and you'll unlock a plethora of outstanding tones to suit any musical style.
The headstock is home to standard open-gear tuning machines, which provide steadfast tuning integrity throughout the most demanding of performances. The body is home to chrome finished hardware in the form of a 4-saddle vintage-style bridge, which anchors each string securely so that you can rock out confidently. As you'd expect, Squier have gone to great length to ensure that the Vintage Modified Jazz Bass is every bit the dutiful performance partner that you'd expect it to be. Whether you're practising at home, recording in the studio, or belting it out on stage, you can rest assured that the Jazz Bass will be with you every step of the way.
