The Sterling by Music Man St. Vincent Signature Electric Guitar in Vincent Blue is the perfect combination of style, balance, versatility and playability. Annie Clark AKA St. Vincent put her own ethos into the design of the guitar, combining old and new to make something completely original. With it's retro/futuristic body design and a wealth of premium features this guitar gives you the spirit and main features of the Music Man version without the astronomical price tag.
African Mahogany Body
The off-kilter body design is comprised of African Mahogany for warmth of tone and incredible sustain. As well as these characteristic features Mahogany also gives you a rounded high end with a punchy growl in the midrange to ensure you cut through in a live scenario. Upper fret access is good and despite the odd shape the St. Vincent sits well in your lap and is comfortable when standing.
The Hard-Maple neck construction ensures you've got a snappy and stable platform to fret your riffs and chords. The profile feels satisfying in the hand and lends itself well to expressive playing, you'll find blues bends and chords come with ease. With a smooth feeling Rosewood Fretboard you get fantastic feel as your fingers glide effortlessly along the neck, with the uniquely designed Custom St. Vincent Inlays to guide your way.
The St. Vincent features three specially voiced Sterling by Music Man humbuckers to give you an incredible array of tonal options. Accesible with a 5-Way Toggle Pickup Selector, you'll find a whole host of tones available for you to play around with, helping you to push your creative bounds further. The Volume knob doubles as a 'push-push' switch, allowing you to gain an extra 12 dB of boost on the fly, perfect for cutting through a live mix with a searing lead tone. A tone knob also features to allow you to further sculpt your sound, with its unique triangular shape serving the dual purpose of looking cool and ensuring your hands don't slip off during a sweaty on stage performance.
The St. Vincent has an oversized '4+2' headstock with Locking Tuning Machines to ensure the guitar can put up with on stage roughhousing and hard strumming. The Sterling by Music Man designed bent steel Vintage-style Tremolo Bridge works in conjunction with the tuning machines to give you steady intonation and solid tuning stability whilst letting you add shimmer and texture to your playing with flutters, raises and dips.
Packing all the main features of it's more expensive Music Man cousin at a far more attractive price point the Sterling by Music Man St. Vincent Signature Electric Guitar in Vincent Blue embodies all of the creative spirit imbibed by its creator, subverting conventions and marrying varying styles to create something truly unique.
