The Taylor 114ce-SB-N Electro Classical Guitar in Sunburst combines gives you Taylor acoustic guitar construction quality in a nylon string configuration. Taylor Guitars are synonymous with quality craftsmanship and sublime sounds. The acoustic guitar luthier has been operating since the 70s, finely honing their skills and knowledge to craft some of the most unique and powerful sounding acoustic guitars ever made.

Layered Walnut Body

Rich in colour and tone, the 114ce-SB-N features a layered walnut back and sides to combine durability with sound quality whilst staying price competitive. Layered wood construction also enables the preservation of tonewood resources so you can be assured that your guitar is sustainably sourced. High-end shimmer with tonnes of midrange presence are the prime qualities of this wood and it will only improve with time and playing. Combined with a Sitka Spruce top, one of the most popular choices for acoustic guitars, the soundboard of the 114ce-SB-N gives a wide dynamic range that translates to a crisp and articulate sound.

Patented Taylor Neck

Taylor patented their neck design in 2001 to ensure the utmost quality control with all their instruments. Designed to overcome one of the major issues of acoustic guitar construction, the 114ce-SB-N features a continuous piece of wood that runs all the way up to the 19th fret. Traditionally acoustic guitar models would be supported at the 14th fret, floating on top of the body thereafter which often resulted in warping of the fretboard. With a Taylor guitar you're assured of rock solid stability all over the neck and a comfortable feel in the hand. Thanks to the combination of a Trpoical Mahogany Neck/Heel and the West African Ebony fretboard you get a playing platform that performs perfectly.

ES-N Electronics

The Taylor 114ce-SB-N features the ES-N electronics system, specially designed for use with Nylon-string acoustic guitars. An under-saddle transducer relays the unplugged tone accurately whilst preserving the natural design aesthetic. With tone controls designed to complement the voice of the nylon string guitar, whether you're plugged into a PA or a mixing desk you can rest assured of an accurate representation of your guitar's natural voice.

Hard-wearing Hardware

The Taylor 114ce-SB-N features Taylor's Classical Nickel machine heads to ensure solid stability during even the most aggressive strumming. Working in conjunction with the Tusq nut and Micarta saddle you're always assured of fantastic intonation all across the fretboard alongside an extremely playable action. The included Taylor Gig Bag gives you the reassurance that the beautiful Sunburst finish will stay scratch free, whether you're taking this guitar to the studio or to the stage.

The Taylor 114ce-SB-N Electro Classical Guitar in Sunburst is a fantastic Grand Auditorium Classical that gives you all the quality Taylor craftsmanship in a nylon-strung package. Although this guitar is designed for classical and flamenco styles you'll find that it serves you equally well whether you're playing Segovia or Sheeran.
