12 Sparkling Strings
There is something just remarkable about the tone of a 12 string acoustic. When you pick one up and immediately let that full G open position chord ring out. Taylors 150e 12 String is not only a beautiful instrument with a sparkling tone both bright and full-bodied providing a loud, resonant sound but is also Taylor's best selling 12 string.
The Taylor 150e in Sunburst is superbly constructed from a combination of a Sitka Spruce top and layered Walnut back and sides. The beautifully finished Sitka Spruce top helps to create a wonderful resonance balancing the lower register tones of the Walnut back and sides with a brighter, sparkling timbre. The Taylor-150e has a Venetian Cutaway adding a different sonorous tonality to the guitar and allowing access to the higher register frets for those looking to solo. This adds an interesting aesthetic to a classic design.
Hard Rock in West Africa
The neck is made from a glorious Hard Rock Maple making the back of the guitar look nearly as exquisite as the front. The fingerboard is made from West African Ebony which is a dense beautiful wood making playing a smooth experience. Ebony fretboards often feel fast with a snappy response when played.
Taylor's in house pickup system is called Expression System 2 Piezo Design Element. With an inbuilt pre-amp and chromatic tuner, the ES-B provides total control over not only your tone but your tuning. Controlled via dedicated volume and tone controls the ES-B under standard conditions can last for 300 hours.
The Taylor 150e in sunburst is an ideal guitar for either a beginner or a more experienced player looking for a solid, pretty-sounding workhorse of an acoustic. With high-end construction and components, the 150e is punching well above its weight and it is supplied with one of Taylor's Sturdy gig bags.
