The Taylor GS Mini was designed to offer the tone and dynamic range of a Grand Symphony, in a more compact and easily transportable body. Don't let the size fool you though. The Taylor GS Mini-e Mahogany is built to Taylor's uncompromisingly high-standards of quality and can more than hold its own against larger models.

The top wood is built using Solid Sitka Spruce, a favoured tonewood of Taylor's due to it's excellent tonal properties. Its combination of strength and elasticity translates into a wide dynamic range, with intricate articulation that works well with a plethora of styles ranging from strumming to fingerstyle.

The back and sides of the guitar are built using laminate Rosewood. Rosewood has the enviable tonal quality of having delivering a sweet and warm mid range whilst gently stretching beyond into the lower and upper frequency ranges. This gives it a robust yet gentle timbre. The beauty of employing laminate material in the GS Mini means that it is much more resilient than a solid tonewood when dealing with changes in humidity, making it an excellent guitar to take on your travels.

In addition to the natural sound projection abilities of the tonewoods, the guitar comes with Taylor's ES-T electronics system for times when you wish to play through an amplifier. The ES-T is a single-source, under-saddle transducer with individual response elements for each string. It features a built-in preamp to give the signal a boost, if necessary, and the same active controls that are on the full ES in more expensive models. These are discreetly tucked away so that they don't interfere with your playing.

The Taylor GS Mini-e RW is a beautifully designed little powerhouse that is ready to play straight out of the bag, wherever you are!

My go to guitar
Posted on 21/12/2016 by Gandad I've small hands with a poor finger reach, makes B and F chords difficult. However, this little beauty allows me to explore the entire fretboard with ease. I am now playing more regularly, with that improving every day.

The expression and tone you get out of such a small-bodied guitar is absolutely stunning. Plugged into my Marshall AS50R, it takes on a whole new dimension. Get the balance right between acoustic and amp, and you could swear it was a bigger instrument.

The Elixir strings that came with the guitar also add a tone that is quite unique and immensely playable. 12 months later, same set of strings still in tune, each and every time I pick up the instrument to play it.
Worth every Penny
Posted on 20/03/2015 by Paul One of the only online stores to have stock. I came to Dawsons last but I should have came first! Excellent speedy service, and I highly favor DPD delivery so i'm glad Dawsons use them as a courier.

The guitar, is incredibly light and visually stunning. I've never owned a a real branded guitar in the 8 years I've been playing so I decided to treat myself. Wow, real wood guitars sing compared to my Yamaha cpx. I wanted a baby/travel guitar (for comfort and style) and i first wanted the lil' martin lxp1e but after comparing on YouTube it sounded small and boxy.

Initially I was like wow it is small, glad I didn't get a smaller guitar, so i'm chuffed I chose this.

I rate this 4*s because, the guitar fretboard seems a little dry and white in places, and because there is no tuner. which there could have been. Overall i'm very happy and i can see me staying away from cheap guitars. Build quality should be factored into a persons choice and you should feel proud to play your instrument.
