Taking you back to tape
With the OP-1, you can record everything on the built in virtual 4-track tape. Match the tape speed to the sequencer clock for some really retro overdubbing with pitch change. The OP-1 also gives you the ability to change tapespeed while recording for some really cool twists, or even record backwards in realtime!
Powerful synth engine
The Teenage Engineering OP-1 Portable Synthesizer contains a total of 7 sound engines. These include raw 8 bit, FM, Square, Physical, Wave and more - you will never run short of inspiration!
As well as being a powerful synth, the OP-1 is also a sampler and controller. Complete with additional features like the FM Radio, which can be sampled from directly and an assignable G-Force sensor for motion controlled effects, creativity never felt so good.
Plug and play
When you connect the OP-1 to a mac or pc using USB, the OP-1 shows up as a mass storage device. From here you are able to drag and drop audio files between your computer and the OP-1. The 4 tape tracks are available as well as sampled waveforms for you to manipulate. The best part is that you need no additional software or drivers, just plug and play!
The stunning OLED display has a contrast ratio of 1000:1. What this translates as is even outdoors with the sun directly in sight, the display of the OP-1 is incredibly clear and easy to read. All keys and encoders are colour coded making you feel at home as soon as you pick up the OP-1.
