The Tom'sline ARE-3 Roto Engine Rotary Speaker Emulator guitar pedal is a versatile pedal that gives you the sound of a Leslie Rotary Speaker without the back-breaking effort to cart it around to gigs nor the bank-breaking cost. It's a simple pedal layout with the jack inputs on the sides as you'd expect and a case constructed with aluminium alloy to withstand heavy onstage stomping.
The Tom'sline ARE-3 Roto Engine has three knobs to allow you to scope your sound, 'level' allows you to set how much of the effect you hear versus your dry guitar signal, 'intense' controls the acuteness of the effect and 'speed' controls how fast the simulated baffle and horn spin.
There is a three-way toggle switch to give you several options for sound. The 'Phaser', 'Vibe' and 'Chorus' options give you a variety of tonal options that make for an extremely versatile pedal.
Pedalboard Friendly Size
The LED indicator is bright enough to be seen on the darkest of stages and the metal stop bar is really handy, preventing you from knocking the knobs with your foot whilst playing, as well as protecting them from any heavy-footed stomping.
The footprint of the ARE-3 Roto Engine is minimal so it will fit on any board and requires a 9V power supply for operation. Included in the box is some 3M velcro hook and loop so you can stick it on your board straight away and get stuck in.
