The VOX Cambridge50 Modelling Guitar Amplifier is a powerful and modern modelling amp that opens up new possibilities. The Virtual Element Technology present within these amps delivers stage-ready sounds and works alongside Nutube to give you distinctive distortion and tube tone that cannot be entirely duplicated by digital technology. This combination of tech makes the Cambridge50 a great choice not only for live performance but also for at-home practising and recording.
Eleven Amp Models
The proprietary Virtual Element Technology allows an incredible degree of realism. The original amplifier circuit has been reevaluated, carefully modelling the way in which the sound is affected by the wooden cabinet and the response of the 12-inch speaker. In addition to the classic AC30, this single unit gives you the sounds of a wide range of amps modelled after well-known tube amps, modern high-gain amps and rare boutique amps. There is also LINE support that allows for electro-acoustic guitars and keyboards to be plugged in.
Equipped with Nutube
The VOX Cambridge50 features Nutube, the new-generation vacuum tube that utilises electro-luminescent technology with the same structure as a conventional vacuum tube, the distortion and sense of compression perfectly captures the feeling of playing a vacuum tube, down to the unique response and feel. Nutube brings unique advantages in that it's lightweight as well as being maintenance-free and far more cost-effective than a convention vacuum tube. The rear of the cabinet uses an open-backed structure, delivering the crisp and open sound from a Celestion VX12 that takes full advantage of the 12-inch speaker
The VOX Cambridge50 has an amazing selection of effects that will help you with your sonic sculptures. Both modulation and delay/reverb can be used simultaneously and each provides a choice of four different types, giving you a grand total of eight effects. A tap button lets you set the delay time and other parameters intuitively, allowing you to tempo match on the fly. The preset mode lets you quickly recall all your stage-ready sounds as well as having a handy built-in tuner, AUX input and headphone output with cab simulator making this amp equally great for practice at home.
USB Audio interface functionality lets you connect this amplifier to your computer via USB to record the Nutube sound directly, allowing for perfect integration with your home recording setup. The bundled JamVOXIII modelling software lets you extract, emphasize or remove a specific part from a song as well as loop a section you're learning or practising as well as adjusting tempo, great for nailing those fast, tricky solo guitar lines. The Tone Room editor software lets you access parameters not accessible via the unit itself and store all your setting in a library for quick recall.
The VOX Cambridge50 Modelling Guitar Amplifier with its 50W output and versatile functionality is perfect for stage, studio or practise at home. Enjoy playing your guitar in any setting with realistic tube recreation all at an incredible price.
