The simple practicality of the Yamaha DTX402 offers excellent value for money with impressive pads and a choice of 10 user-programmable kits. With many voices to choose from and compatibility with Yamaha's DTX Touch app, this is ideal as a first electronic drum kit for new drummers to develop their skills on.
Yamaha is a well-respected name in the musical instrument production industry and along with the DTX402, you are guaranteed impressive quality, durability and a digital kit that will help new players grow and offer advanced players a compact little kit to practice on.
Versatility comes as standard
The DTX402 comes with 10 kit setups pre-loaded, all of which can be customised and overwritten using the 287 onboard sounds opening up a near limitless amount of combinations to suit your liking. Some of these sounds are sampled straight from Yamaha's own top line of acoustic drum kits and offer exceptional articulation.
The easy to operate 'brain' of the Yamaha DTX402 offers a simple to operate panel with a one-touch selection of built-in drum kits. A clear red LED indication displays which kit is currently active - ideal for performance and practice in darker venues.
The 'brain' also gives you clear control over the built-in metronome, adjustment for tempo and volume as well as a training mode button to dive straight into developing your technique. Finally, you will find connectivity for USB, a 3.5mm line into filter music through to the 6.3mm output and connectivity for the supplied power adapter. Like the rest of the kit, this integral unit is built to last and looks as sleek as it is strong.
Arsenal of high quality sounds
The DTX402 gives you access to a plethora of percussion instruments. Any instrument can be triggered from any pad, you can even set the kit up to reflect using a double bass pedal. To help develop your skills, the DTX402 contains onboard routines including warm-ups and groove exercises. There's even a voice guidance system that speaks the result of your sessions!
Thanks to the USB connectivity and the ability to connect to the iOS DTX Touch app, the DTX402 can even be used to control sounds in your favourite DAW on PC or Mac as well as the ever-expanding backing library and record functionality that the app offers. For new players or advanced players that wish for a compact kit to practice and record on, the Yamaha DTX402 Electronic Drum Kit is an excellent choice.
