The Yamaha DXR10 is a powerful but compact active speaker with a 10" driver and many possible applications.
Portability is often at the top of the gigging musicians list of features to consider in a PA speaker. This speaker offers that, alongside durability and convenience, with the option to use the Yamaha DXR10 as a floor monitor. Plenty of power is packed into this beast, featuring a 1100W Class D power amplifier. This is extremely efficient and makes it capable of up to 131dB SPL.
Three Channel Mixer
Letting you connect a range of other gear, the Yamaha DXR10 has an on-board 3 channel mixer section. Channel 1 gives you a single XLR input, great for connecting a single microphone for quick and easy use as a speech amplification system. The second channel is ideal for connecting your mixer to during a live gig, offering two 1/4" jack sockets that can run in either mono or stereo. Finally, channel 3 offers two RCA (phono) sockets. Each channel has its own level control and can be used with the link out feature for easy set up. A DSP section, with EQ settings for several applications and a high pass filter is a great addition.
Many possible uses
Installation, floor monitoring and standard PA / SR usage is all possible with the Yamaha DXR10 active speaker. Rigging points are present so you can safely hang the speaker with industry standard attachments, U brackets are available separately to allow for easy installation, both horizontally and vertically.

- Excelent product.
Pairs of inputs Mic, Line and RCA, each pair with its own level control gives nice flexibility. For practice, I plug iRealPro into the RCAs and the keyboard(s) and/or PC into the line inputs, so no need for a mixer unless I want everything.
The built-in DSP seems to do a good job of keeping things clean and linear, and offers some simple preset cut/boost controls for PA, monitor, etc.. The controls do get knocked occasionally when transporting, so it pays to check the various settings before use.
I now need to save up for a second one, for stereo.
