The Zoom A3 Acoustic Guitar Pre-Amp and Effects Pedal takes all the effort out of translating your guitar's timbre when performing live. Not only that, but the A3 also boasts an impressive range of effects and guitar models to play with. Whether you're using a built-in guitar preamp or pickup, or miking up your guitar on stage, there's a range of connectivity options to meet your needs. A host of controls allow you to dive deep into the complex and intricate sounds at your disposal.
Remodel and perfect
The Zoom A3 features a wide selection of acoustic guitar body types and models from across the decades. Whether you're seeking a large and full-bodied output such as that of a dreadnought or a jumbo, or perhaps favour a mellower and more diminuitive orchestra model with increased tonal balance, there conspicuous dial at the top of the unit allows you to make the selection with ease. From there you can deftly dial in the exact frequency response you require across Bass, Middle, and Treble ranges.
The A3 features the ability to combine a range of effects to your chosen model across a selection of compressors, EQs, modulation, delays, and reverbs. There are even microphone emulations of some industry-standard models that are truly remarkable. The full potential of the unit can be explored via a wide selection of control knobs and footswitches that allow you to save presets for later access during performances.
Across the right side of the unit there is a three-way pickup select switch for tailoring the A3 to work with piezoelectric, magnetic, and passive pickup-powered acoustics, with a corresponding pickup input jack. Across the left side of the A3 there are dual line-level output jacks for connecting directly to a PA, as well as connecting headphones for a latency-free monitor mix. The rear panel is home to a combo XLR/TRS Mic/Line input with phantom power, as well as a balanced XLR output that can also be connected directly to a PA system.
The solid die-cast body is perfect for touring artists who need a unit that can survive life on the road. Not only that but the compact dimensions mean that the Zoom A3 can easily fit into any existing setup with ease, and slots discreetly into any guitar case of gig bag. With the ability to run on a mere 4 AA batteries for up to 8 hours (alkaline battery life), as well as the supplied AC adapter, the Zoom A3 Acoustic Guitar Pre-Amp and Effects Pedal is a must-have for any gigging/touring musician.
