The Zoom R8 gives you 8 tracks for recording and playback. 8 tracks can be played back and 2 tracks can be recorded simultaneously, ideal for singer/guitarists. All audio is recorded in full fidelity WAV format so that you can be assured all of your recordings will be captured in the best possible quality. The 2 available inputs accommodate microphone and instrument leads so no matter what you want to record, you can do so with ease with the R8.
To compliment your musical ideas, the Zoom R8 also has a collection of over 500 internal loops and drum patterns this is pushed even further with the 2GB SD card which contains 500MB of loops and patterns from Big Fish Audio! But this is just the beginning, the R8 also has 8 velocity sensitive pads allowing you to create your own beats from scratch.
Technological harmony
Should you wish to combine the power of the Zoom R8 with your favourite digital audio workstation (DAW), such as with the included copy of Cubase SE, you can do so without complication. Simply connect to your PC or Mac with the included USB lead and the R8's Mackie control emulation will allow it to act as a hardware controller for Cubase, Logic, Ableton Live, Sonar and more. Set marker points, control channel levels and initiate advanced editing without having to touch your mouse.
Studio grade effects
To add some extra magic to your music, the Zoom R8 also features a collection of over 140 studio-quality DSP effects including reverb, chorus, delay as well ass equalisation and dynamics processing. For the guitarists and singers, you can have fun with the built in guitar amp, bass amp, and mic preamp models to get a sound brimming with personality.
Other excellent features of the Zoom R8 include the ability to record directly to SD cards up to 32GB for upto roughly 100 track hours so you never have to worry about running out of space again!
